Marketing and Communications VISTA

The VISTA will work to build capacity by evaluating and building on existing organizational communications infrastructure to increase Maryland MENTOR’s impact. The VISTA will evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of our existing systems and digital communications to the statewide mentoring field. They will increase awareness of Maryland MENTOR resources, services, events, and trainings to the statewide mentoring field.

Major functions will include:

• Cultivating a network of Youth Development Professionals through management of our online practitioner led community • Create an online crowdsourcing campaign • Participate on Annual Conference Marketing Committee • Review and update Maryland MENTOR Website for better navigation • Create email database of local partners to share Maryland MENTOR events • Maintain Maryland MENTOR social media and newsletters, increasing the engagement of our followers/subscribers

Resource Development VISTA


The goal of the Development VISTA project is to support Maryland MENTOR in the creation and maintenance of the necessary systems to allow the organization to be efficient and effective in all activities related to fundraising, grant writing and holistic donor management. Why should you be excited about this role? Having the opportunity to work with Maryland MENTOR, the newest statewide affiliate of the National Mentoring Partnership, is truly a dream! We are currently operating at the intersection of the energy and innovation of a startup, the social promise of a non-profit with the strong push for results needed by a mature private sector business.
